Shangdang Duijin is a unique folk handicraft in Changzhi. It is also the only regional folk handicraft preserved in the arts and crafts industry, which is known as"three-dimensional Chinese painting". The main materials of Duijin include silk, cotton, cardboard Tetrapanax papyriferus, etc. It is very complicated to make. It first be sketched, carved on cardboard, pasted with trims, pressed with rolled paper, spun with cotton, wrapped with silk and finally painted. In 1915, Li Zhiqing together with his sons Li Mo and Li Kai and his eldest grandson Li Shizhong meticulously produced strip screens of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, which won the silver medal of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
