On the morning of December 17, 2018, the Press Conference and Project Signing Ceremony for the Regional Development of Longcheng Avenue in Jinzhong was held at the Meiyue Hall, Floor 2, Winners Palace Hotel. Rong Jinguang, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Wang Wenbao, the Secretary of Party Committee and the Chairman of Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group were invited to participate in, and Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group signed the letter of intent for project investment with the Jinzhong Municipal People’s Government.
Zhao Jianping, the Mayor of Jinzhong said at the Press Conference for the Regional Development of Longcheng Avenue in Jinzhong: “Regional Planning for Longcheng Avenue in Jinzhong aims to create a painting of ‘half of the forest and half of the city, the city in the forest and the water in the city’ in the north of Jinzhong and the south of Taiyuan.” Jinzhong Longcheng Avenue will be the new landmark of Taiyuan Metropolitan and the new model of eco-livable in Shanxi and even North China.
Rong Jinguang, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said: “After listening to Mayor Zhao Jianping’s news release on the Development of Longcheng Avenue, I am encouraged and excited. The ideas and concepts of this plan and the works and measures of this development have a great strategic significance to promote integrated development between Taiyuan and Jinzhong and make a core of Taiyuan Metropolitan
From the perspective of culture and tourism, in recent years, Jinzhong Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal People’s Government have attached great importance to the development of cultural tourism industry, made great efforts to cultivate cultural tourism as a strategic pillar industry, made great efforts to improve the supporting service facilities for tourism, and continuously enriched the tourism status and products. Jinzhong has become the first choice of provincial people, visitors for the city sightseeing, leisure vacation, shopping consumption, catering and accommodation. According to the new plan, Longcheng Avenue will become a new landmark for the development of cultural tourism industry in the future, which will play an exemplary and leading role for improving the tourism infrastructure and promoting the function of tourism service in the province. I have confidence in the future of Jinzhong. Jinzhong will become a first-class tourist distributing center and destination in the whole province and even in the whole country.

Wang Wenbao said: “we closely target the goal of Jinzhong to create national tourism projects in the whole area and the four key projects layout of Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group according to the decisions and arrangements of Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People’s Government to develop tourism in the whole area. Jinzhong Regional Tourism Cooperation at the City Level Project is one of the four key projects in the key layout of Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group, the both parties look forward to the construction of the project of Shanxi International Tourist and Recreation Center in Longcheng Avenue to form a central linking among Yellow River, the Great Wall and the Taihang in line with the purpose of “cooperation and co-construction, mutual benefit and win-win”. It is hoped that after the completion of this project, the tourism distributing function linking south and north and expanding the impact on the east and west regions will be effectively utilized, Jinzhong will be “the First Station of Shanxi Cultural Tourism” and “the first Urban Reception Hall of Shanxi”, and it can effectively promote the development of Shanxi’s whole-area tourism and the rapid integration of urbanization of Taiyuan and Yuci.
Participants jointly witnessed the signing of the letter of intent to invest between Liu Juan, the Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Deputy General Manager in Shanxi Cultural Tourism Investment Holding Group, and Gou Fujie, the Secretary for Plan Management Bureau of Jinzhong.
