On July 10, Qi County was officially approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as "the “the Belt and Road” Special Industrial Cooperation Zone for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Co-built by the Province and the Ministry, becoming the first “the Belt and Road” Cooperation Zone for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the 13th Sino-foreign Cooperation Zone for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
Qi County glassware production has a long history, and is the capital of Chinese glassware, and the national foreign trade transformation and upgrading professional demonstration base. At present, there are 43 glassware production enterprises, with 20,000 employees and an annual output value of RMB 3 billion, accounting for about 45% of the total volume of hand-blown glassware in China, and 80% of the total volume of goblets. The products are mainly sold in the international market, with 40% exported to Europe and “the Belt and Road” countries and other countries, 30% exported to the US market and 30% sold to the domestic market, forming an industrial pattern of integrating basic-level production, deep processing and refined product development.
