Monument for General Liu Zhi-dan Martyr

Introduction: It is located in Aoze Geda of Dangjiazhai Village, Sanjiao Town, Liulin county. On April 14, 1936 (the 25th year of the Republic of China), Liu Zhi-dan, the commander of the 28th Corps of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army as well as the founder of Shaan-Gan revolutionary base, sacrificed by being hit by random shot when he personally commanded the Sanjiao battle in the forward position. In 1988, the People’s Government of Shanxi Province specially made the columnar cement tablet of “Monument for Liu Zhi-dan Martyr” which was then transported to the county, and instructed the relevant department to erect it for memory; meanwhile, it was approved to be a provincial revolutionary historic relic. The cement tablet was erected at the top of Aoze Geda Mountain and shielded by a pavilion. A cement base covered with stone was built under the tablet; the tablet was enclosed by railings, and the roof of the octagonal pavilion was supported by four posts in the middle. It is quiet and beautiful by viewing far away, but solemn by observing nearby.
