Shanxi to develop more high-quality brands

North China's Shanxi province recently held an award ceremony to honor its first list of high-quality products and services. 

Some 38 enterprises from the province in the fields of manufacturing, traditional Chinese medicine, agriculture, culture and tourism were lauded with 40 of their products and services receiving the honor. 

This signifies how they have reached the top level of their respective industries in terms of product development and service supply. 

The evaluation and recognition process was an important measure for Shanxi to promote high-quality development and brand building. 

At present, products and services made in Shanxi still suffer from nagging problems such as insufficient brand influence, weak core competitiveness and relatively low independent innovation ability. 

Local authorities stressed the urgent need to further optimize and strengthen regional brands and promote more high-quality products and services to the ranks of "Shanxi Quality". 

All government departments and industry associations in Shanxi will improve their subject cultivation, formulation of standards, and certification, while enterprises will enhance their quality and brand development capabilities.
