Shanxi establishes disease control, prevention bureau

The Shanxi Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention was recently established. 

Shanxi will ensure the reform tasks of disease control institutions at the provincial, municipal and county levels are completed by the end of the year.

The province will continue to improve its disease prevention and control system as well as strengthen its regular and emergency monitoring and early warning mechanism, to improve its ability to rapidly detect and handle major infectious diseases. 

It will also establish public health emergency response teams, improve the system of normalized emergency drills, and continue to boost the infrastructure of disease control institutions, enhance team building, and promote the high-quality development of its public health apparatus.
