Shanxi polishes image at Lanzhou fair

North China's Shanxi province promoted its profile at the 29th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair in Lanzhou, capital of Northwest China's Gansu province, from July 6 to 10. 

Spanning some 180 square meters, the Shanxi exhibition area highlighted the province's overall image, resource advantages, investment and business environment, and investment policies. 

Fourteen Shanxi companies involved in 10 key industrial chains and 10 characteristic professional industrial towns showcased their products related to clean energy and specialty light industry during the five-day event.

Yang Xiaojun, general manager of Pingyao Baojuyuan Meat Products Co, said that participating in the fair not only promoted the company's brand, but also helped the company gain customers from northwest China. 

The Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau organized Shanxi companies to carry out investment promotions in industries such as new energy and new materials. It also conducted exhibition displays, organized project roadshows, and negotiated with domestic and foreign investment institutions and enterprises at the fair, fully exploring the province's cooperation opportunities.

This year's fair in Lanzhou saw 15 exhibition halls themed around Silk Road international cooperation, regional cooperation exchanges, Gansu's distinctive advantageous industries, fashionable consumer goods, and the specialty food of Gansu. 

It focused on facilitating investment and trade negotiations among countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, domestic provinces, and autonomous regions and municipalities in the new energy, new materials, biomedicine, and digital information sectors.
