Shanxi rolls out support measures for firms from Taiwan

A series of favorable policies and measures for firms and businesspeople from Taiwan has been implemented by Shanxi province in North China, playing a positive role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Shanxi has adopted 68 measures covering taxation, finance, culture, education, social security, and professional qualifications, to promote economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan.

These measures have helped Taiwan-funded enterprises expand their presence in Shanxi, invest in more sectors, reduce production costs, obtain more business opportunities, and achieve greater development. 

Shanxi has also implemented 24 measures involving policy support, land guarantees, finance and taxation, research and development innovation, and market expansion, with the aim of supporting Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan-funded enterprises in the development of agriculture and forestry in the province.

These measures have provided comprehensive and robust institutional guarantees for the wider participation and integration of Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan-funded enterprises in the high-quality development of the agricultural and forestry industries, as well as the rural vitalization of Shanxi.

In addition, the province has actively undertaken Taiwan-funded enterprises' industrial transfers from coastal areas, such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area.

Moreover, it has shared development opportunities with compatriots in Taiwan, and offered greater convenience for those who choose to study, work, and live in Shanxi.
