Over 150 varieties of products from 45 agricultural enterprises based in North China's Shanxi province were showcased and promoted at the 24th Central China (Hunan) Agricultural Expo in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, on Oct 27-31.

Shanxi exhibitors carried out on-site demonstrations, product tastings, brand promotions, and trade negotiations, facilitating connections between production and sales while also promoting exchanges and cooperation.

The province's leading products, such as Donghu's mature vinegar, Guo's whole lamb soup, Jinpopo selenium-rich millet, Xixian Yulu fragrant pears, and Lanxian potatoes, were awarded the gold prize at the expo, while the Shanxi Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received the Best Organizer Award.

The Central China (Hunan) Agricultural Expo, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Hunan Provincial People's Government, is a comprehensive agricultural exhibition.

Since 1999, it has been held 23 editions, showcasing over 210,000 varieties of agricultural specialties, with a total transaction volume of 259.5 billion yuan ($35.46 billion) and over 21 million visitors attending.

This year's expo drew exhibition groups from 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, with nearly 5,000 enterprises displaying and selling high-quality agricultural products and excellent agricultural brands. In addition, nearly 30 overseas enterprises from nine countries also participated in the expo.
