CPAFFC President Yang Wanming conduct research and assistance work in Xingxian County

Lvliang Daily (Reporter Wang Tao) On September 26, a delegation led by Yang Wanming, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Zhang Yangbin, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPAFFC, paid a visit tour and carried out paired assistance in Shahao Village, Caijiaya Township of Xingxian County, the 120th Division School, and Heiyukou Village in Gaojiacun Township. The participants included Li Yue’e, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shanxi Provincial People’s Congress and President of the Shanxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Ren Zhong, Executive Vice Mayor and member of the CPC Lvliang Standing Committee, Qiao Yun, Party Secretary of Xingxian County and Vice Chairman of Lvliang Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and representatives from various international charity organizations and enterprises.

During the visit, Yang Wanming attended the culture square completion ceremony of the Shahao Village, Caijiaya Township, the donation ceremony for the 120th Division School, and the public-welfare ceremony assisted by the CPAFFC in Heiyukou Village, Gaojiacun Township. He was briefed on the development progress in Shahao Village, the historical and cultural characteristics and the paired assistance status of Heiyukou Village.

In Heiyukou Village, Gaojiacun Township, Yang Wanming had detailed conversations with local residents Ren Gouwa and Ren Yinghai. He inquired about their family situations and health conditions and sent holiday greetings in advance to them. Yang Wanming emphasized that, the CPAFFC officials working for paired assistance should get involved at the grassroots and work diligently for the locals’ interests and improve the quality and achievements of the paired assistance.

The delegation also visited the Jin-Sui Border Revolutionary Memorial Museum, they revisited the touching stories of the revolutionary forefathers who fought with unyielding determination and received education on revolutionary traditions.

In the evening seminar, representatives of international charity organizations and enterprises who participated in the paired assistance and inspection tours actively shared insights and had in-depth exchanges with relevant departments in Xingxian County regarding ongoing projects and future directions.

Yang Wanming fully recognized Xingxian County’s high-quality transformation and development in recent years. He pointed out that, the Leading Party Members’ Group of the CPAFFC attaches great importance to the paired assistance service in Xingxian County. The local officials should resolutely implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on rural revitalization, grasp the new policies, deployments, and requirements that consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively link with rural revitalization and work to help the residents of Xingxian County embark on the path to common prosperity. He emphasized the following key points:

First, shoulder the political responsibility for rural revitalization, strengthen communication and exchanges with Xingxian County, improve working mechanisms, and take concrete measures to further advance the work of consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively linking with rural revitalization. 

Second, leverage the resources of the CPAFFC, create favorable conditions and development opportunities for local development by fully utilizing the platform and resource advantages of the CPAFFC. This will involve actively in international friendship city construction, increasing the influence of Xingxian County’s revolutionary culture and local brand, and further enhancing the opening-up. Third, promote rural cultural development and play a leading role, help introduce primary and secondary educational resources, and continually improve Xingxian County’s distinctive rural cultural development and students’ all-round education. Fourth, strengthen the sustained efforts in talent cultivation, innovate in education and training, cultivate practical talents with skills that can contribute to the development of the new socialist countryside and the inheritance of revolutionary culture. 

Fifth, support industrial development and tailor the approach based on Xingxian County’s conditions, coordinate resources and focus on attracting investments and expertise, promote Xingxian County’s industrial development and rejuvenation, continue to empower the high-quality economic and social development.

On behalf of the CPC Lvliang Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Lvliang City, Ren Zhong extended heartfelt gratitude for the care and support from the CPAFFC, various international organizations, and enterprises towards the development of Lvliang City and Xingxian County. He stated that, the CPAFFC has brought favorable policies, insights, resources, and services to Lvliang City and Xingxian County, facilitating significant transformations in various aspects, including local ideologies, morale, production, and living conditions. Ren Zhong conveyed that, all levels of the Party members and officials should cherish this platform and, driven by profound affection for the people and deep passion for the highland of the revolutionary culture, perform the duties well. They must fully implement the “Five Requirements” outlined by President Yang Wanming to ensure that the paired assistance achieves best outcomes in Xingxian County. This will also guarantee that the care and support contributed by international organizations and enterprises representatives spread even further in Xingxian County, ultimately ensuring that the local residents could enjoy better life. Additionally, he extended a warm welcome to international organizations and enterprises to visit Lvliang City and Xingxian County for inspection and investigation tours. Lvliang will provide comprehensive services to facilitate the achievements of fruitful cooperation between for all sides.

Qiao Yun extended gratitude for the continuous support from the CPAFFC. He emphasized that, Xingxian will actively support the CPAFFC’s paired assistance work in villages. They will enhance coordination and cooperation and make solid progress in services to enable the paired assistance officials to focus in tasks. He also hoped that the CPAFFC will continue to support the development of Xingxian County. Together with the CPC Xingxian County Committee and the People’s Government of Xingxian County, they will jointly compose a new chapter of high-quality development.
