Shanxi promotes tourism in Yunnan

The Shanxi Cultural and Tourism Promotion Event made its debut on Nov 18 at China International Travel Mart 2023 in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province. 

During the promotional event, North China's Shanxi province showcased its magnificent landscapes, long history, and abundant cultural heritage to attendees. 

The event also focused on highlighting the fruitful achievements made in Shanxi's high-quality development of cultural tourism in recent years. Representatives from the cities of Jinzhong and Yangquan promoted their respective cultural tourism resources. 

Strategic cooperation agreements were signed between Shanxi's Yunqiu Mountain scenic area, Huangya Cave cultural tourism zone, Mengshan scenic area, and Yunnan's travel agencies. 

The Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism said it hoped that, by using the China International Travel Mart as a platform, Shanxi and Yunnan could engage in deeper and more sustainable cooperation in cultural tourism, attracting more domestic and international visitors to explore the beauty of Shanxi.
