52 Shanxi energy companies make China's annual top 500 list

Shanxi province saw 52 companies included in the recently released list of China's top 500 energy enterprises for 2023. 

Out of the 52 companies, 48 are engaged in coal industry. Among them, Jinneng Holdings Group once again ranks in the top 10, marking its third appearance on the top 500 list in the past five years. Shanxi Coking Coal Group Co ranks 20th, making its second appearance in the top 20 in the past five years. Lu'An Chemical Group Co and Huayang New Material Technology Group rank 23rd and 44th, respectively, on the list. 

The top five private enterprises on the list are Shanxi Pengfei Group, Shanxi Lubao Coking Group, Wintime Energy Group Co, Shanxi Meijin Energy Co, and Shanxi Gengyang Investment Group. Shanxi Pengfei Group becomes the first private enterprise in Shanxi to achieve 100 billion yuan ($14.02 billion) in revenue.
