Shanxi seeks industrial partners in Portugal

The China (Shanxi)-Portugal (Lisbon) Industrial Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Lisbon, Portugal on Nov 21. 

Over 80 participants, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Portugal, the Leiria Municipal Government, Portuguese foreign-funded enterprises, Chinese entrepreneurs in Portugal, Chinese enterprises, and representatives from the Portuguese chambers of commerce, attended the conference to discuss cooperation opportunities. 

Representatives of the Municipal Assembly of Leiria, Cai Wen, president of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Portugal, and Jin Jiaqing, president of the Chinese Entrepreneurs Association in Portugal, all gave speeches. 

They expressed their hope of fully utilizing the advantages and resources of China and Portugal to promote collaboration in the digital economy, new energy, culture and tourism, and modern service sectors. 

José Oliveira, CEO of Bi4All based in Lisbon, and representatives of well-known private entrepreneurs in Shanxi presented their companies and future development plans. 

They sought opportunities for cooperation in areas such as new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, resources and energy, agriculture, and culture and tourism. 

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing Shanxi's distinctive products, including Fenjiu liquor, Rongzi Winery's wine, porcelain, lacquerware, paper-cutting, and fabric tiger dolls.
