Shanxi adds five national 5G factories

Five projects in North China's Shanxi province were recently selected to join the list of 2023 5G factories by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. 

These projects include 5G intelligent mines, intelligent power plants and 5G factories, showing the importance of "5G + industrial internet" in promoting the high-quality, cost-effective, efficient, green, and secure development of traditional industries. 

In recent years, Shanxi has been promoting the integration of 5G networks into the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of its economy and society. As of the end of October, the province has installed no fewer than 90,000 5G base stations.
