Regional museum alliance founded in Shanxi

An alliance of museums on nature science and geology in the nine provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River was established on Dec 23 at the Shanxi Museum of geology in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province. 

Through academic research, collaboration on exhibitions, public education promotions, cultural creative development, and personnel training, the alliance will promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the natural and cultural resources of the Yellow River. It aims to achieve resource sharing, mutual benefits and collaborative development in the cultural sector of the Yellow River basin.

On the same day, a series of activities centered around the theme of the Yellow River took place, including two special exhibitions and four academic lectures. 

One of the exhibitions showcases a collection of unique regional ancient organisms and dinosaur fossil specimens that have formed over billions of years in the nine provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River. The other presents a 1,000-square-meter scroll painting of the Yellow River and 26 classic stories about it.
