During the New Year's Day holiday, from Dec 30 to Jan 1, North China's Shanxi province saw a surge in its cultural and tourism consumption market.

Folk cultural tourism activities with strong local characteristics attracted a large number of tourists. Intra-provincial and nearby travel became the mainstream choice for holiday outings, with theme parks, suburban parks, and ski resorts being particularly popular destinations.

Shanxi also launched a series of ice and snow season activities and themed tourism routes during this time, attracting a large number of ice and snow enthusiasts. Featured markets, folk dances, and festive food activities were also launched in various places. These events were highly entertaining and interactive, boosting holiday cheer as well as local cultural and tourism sectors. The Qiao's Family Courtyard scenic area organized interactive parades and invited visitors to experience folk arts such as paper cutting, gourd pyrography, shadow plays, and sugar painting.
