Political advisers, deputies to attend 2024 Shanxi Provincial Two Sessions

Members of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the 13th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and deputies to the second session of 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress arrived in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Jan 21. They will attend the annual Shanxi Provincial Two Sessions starting on Jan 22. 

During 2023, the members of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee listened to public opinions, and focused on conducting special research regarding economic development, people's livelihood, and ecological protection. This resulted in the formulation of high-quality proposals that will be submitted or discussed at the 2nd session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee. 

Over the next four and a half days, they will conscientiously fulfill their duties according to the session agenda. "During this session, I will continue to provide ideas focusing on technological innovation and talent development," said Ma Tiejun, a member of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee.

In the past year, the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress made new achievements in the transformation and development of the province's resource-based economy, energy projects, and ecological protection. It also facilitated the high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, and the construction of a new inland hub for opening-up.

Deputies to the second session of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress will exchange experiences related to major, difficult, and hot issues in Shanxi's economic and social development. In the coming days, they will fulfill their duties in accordance with the law, contributing wisdom and rallying strength to promote Shanxi's high-quality development and comprehensive transformation.

One of the deputies to the session, Pan Jing, who is also the director of the New Energy Materials and Devices Research Office at Taiyuan University, said that she is preparing to suggest a smart medical waste management model during the session.
