Shanxi sets up data traffic valley

Shanxi province recently announced its intension to establish Shanxi Data Traffic Valley, which is an extension of Shanxi Data Traffic Ecology Park. 

As China's first park for data traffic-related industries, Shanxi Data Traffic Ecology Park has been operating since October 2020. Over the last three years, the scale of data traffic and transactions in the park has exceeded 3.9 billion yuan ($544.4 million), driving the cumulative revenue of resident companies to over 30.5 billion yuan. 

The park has attracted 718 digital economy enterprises to settle in, including 14 listed companies. It has also incubated 27 specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative enterprises. 

In response to the increasing number of investment projects, the expansion of resources, and the growth of industry, the park has launched the "Rising from Park to Valley" project. 

The park has already established and now operates eight featured sub-parks in the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, Taiyuan, Xinzhou, Changzhi, and Yangquan, covering a total area of nearly 400,000 square meters.
