Annual Shanxi Provincial Two Sessions conclude

The annual sessions of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress and the 13th Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) recently concluded in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province. 

A total of 510 members of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee attended the closing plenary of the second session of the CPPCC Shanxi Committee on Jan 26.

The plenary passed the session's resolutions on the work report of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, the report on the proposals submitted since the first session of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee, the report on the Proposal Review Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee on the examination of proposals during the session, and the political resolution of the session. 

All members discussed the work reports of the Shanxi Provincial Government, Shanxi Provincial Higher People's Court, and Shanxi People's Procuratorate. They generally agreed with and put forward opinions and suggestions, and examined and approved the work report and proposal-handling report for the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shanxi Committee. 

The second session of the 14th Shanxi Provincial People's Congress on Jan 27 saw 527 deputies attending the closing plenary. 

The plenary passed the resolution of the Shanxi Provincial Government's work report, the execution of the 2023 Shanxi economic and social development plan, and the decision on the 2024 Shanxi economic and social development plan. 

Additionally, resolutions have been made regarding the execution of the provincial and provincial-level budgets for 2023, the decision on the 2024 budgets, and the work reports of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress, the Shanxi Provincial Higher People's Court, and the Shanxi People's Procuratorate. Furthermore, a newly revised "Rules of Procedure of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress" was introduced.
