Shanxi to expand international friendships

The Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has announced that it will expand the Shanxi province's international friendship network in 2024. It will do so by focusing on five key tasks.

The committee will plan and participate in high-level events to better serve the province's foreign economic and trade cooperation work.

Efforts will be made to strengthen trade promotion; drive the improvement of Shanxi's foreign trade; assist foreign trade enterprises in expanding their markets; secure more orders; and stabilize market share. 

The committee will also work towards enhancing the effectiveness of the "Shanxi Brands Tour". It will leverage the province's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative to introduce local brands into developed economies and foreign trade markets. It also aims to organize for more enterprises to participate in the "Shanxi Brands Silk Road Tour".

The committee plans to promote the growth of foreign investment utilization in Shanxi by leveraging its overseas offices to organize a series of events for foreign-funded enterprises.

In addition, the committee will enhance its ability to provide commercial legal services to local enterprises that want to go global. This will involve proactive legal services for enterprises, strengthening commercial mediation, and building a stable and high-quality team of legal professionals with international expertise to help enterprises respond to and prevent risks. The committee will also ensure the safety of the province's overseas projects and business activities.
