Utah university professor visits Shanxi

Dong Xiaolin, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government, met with Professor Stephen Walston from the University of Utah, the United States, on March 18.

The professor visited Shanxi province to participate in the Shanxi-Utah Health and Disability Rehabilitation Academic Exchange Week.

Dong briefly introduced Shanxi's economic and social development to the American guest. He mentioned that since 2019, Shanxi and Utah have had fruitful exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, health, and education. Dong also expressed hope that the University of Utah would continue to play a bridging role in the friendly relationship between the two regions.

Professor Stephen Walston expressed appreciation for Shanxi's high-quality economic and social development. He stated his willingness to promote the continued cooperation between Utah and Shanxi in the fields of education, healthcare, and disability affairs.
