Dong Xiaolin Attends China (Shanxi)-Uzbekistan (Khwarezm) Economic and Investment Cooperation Conference

On April 12th, the China (Shanxi) - Uzbekistan (Khwarezm) Economic and Investment Cooperation Conference was held in Taiyuan. Dong Xiaolin, Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Shanxi Province was invited to deliver a speech at the conference.

Dong Xiaolin highlighted the elevation of bilateral relations to a new era of comprehensive strategic partnership under the guidance of the leaders of both countries. He emphasized the vast potential and promising prospects of regional cooperation as an essential component of China-Uzbekistan bilateral relations. Expressing his hope for joint efforts to further enhance economic and trade cooperation, Dong Xiaolin underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration in modern agriculture, equipment manufacturing, and fostering mutual benefit and common development.   

During the conference, Ilzat Kasimov, Vice Minister of Uzbekistan Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, expressed expectations on the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Li Haiyuan, President of Shanxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade, provided insights into Shanxi's business environment and industrial development. Presentations on economic and social development, investment promotion policies, and advantageous industries were delivered by Anwar Dovletov, Vive Governor of Khwarezm, and Radjapov Bunyod, Mayor of Urgench. The conference saw the participation of over 160 representatives from Khwarezm’s enterprises, relevant government departments, municipal councils for the promotion of international trade, and entrepreneurs in Shanxi.

Ma Xiaomin, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Shanxi Province, also attended the event.
