Hukou Waterfall

Hukou has different sceneries all the year round. The river is frozen with peaceful water in winter; the river roars like thunder in spring; the spectacular river water almost overflows the banks insummer, and it becomes vast and mighty like a rainbow in autumn. Generally speaking, there are two optimal periods for visiting Hukou Waterfall; one is the period from April to May in Spring when the wild peachblossoms are all over the mountain and the frozen ice begins to melt, and it is called peach blossoms flood in March”; the other is from September to November in Autumn when the rainy season is just over, the numerous mountain springs and brooks form a large number of clear stream, and the rainbow often appears due to the autumn wind, and it is called “Hukou autumn wind”. In the two periods, the water is abundant and steady, and the width of the waterfall can reach about 1,000m.
