Huairen Ceramics (Huairen City)


Huairen City is an important production area of everyday ceramics in northern China with a history of more than 1,000 years. Ceramics were first found in the Spring and Autumn Period, prevailed in the Liao and Jin Dynasties, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. As early as the Liao and Song Dynasties, it was famous for "the skill of clay burning is unique in the north". The annual production capacity of everyday porcelain has reached 3.8 billion pieces, accounting for about 8% of the national market share of the same type, with more than 500 varieties including bone china, white porcelain, in-glaze painting, special-shaped porcelain, colored glaze porcelain, etc. About 50% of the products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions in Europe, America and Southeast Asia, and a "five-in-one" industrial system integrating enterprises, universities, research institutes, sales and exhibitions has been formed.

Huairen City is the daily-use ceramics production and export base and the first batch of Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Ceramics) in Shanxi Province. The trademark of "Huairen Ceramics" has been identified with the national geographical indication, and Huairen City is honored as “Demonstration Base for the Transformation and Upgrade of Foreign Trade in Daily-use Ceramics in Shanxi Province, “Provincial Quality and Safety Demonstration Area for Ceramic Products Exports”, “National Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Ceramics), and “Capital Daily-use Ceramics in Northern China”.
