Admixture Industry-specific Town under construction

The admixture industry in Wanrong County started in the late 1970s. Wanrong County is the origin and main production place of the concrete admixture industry, and has won titles including “China Construction Waterproof Town”, “Industrial Base of the Torch Program of Concrete Admixture”, “Shanxi's First Batch of Special Industry Cluster”, etc. With more than 100,000 employees in more than 600 companies at home and abroad and a production capacity of 6 million tons/year, the admixture industry has formed a complete industrial system integrating scientific research and development, large-scale production and technical services with the production and sales volume accounting for one-third of the national total.

Wanrong County has two famous trademarks of China, namely “Huangteng” and “Zankai”, ten international trademarks registered in Madrid System, and six provincial famous trademarks. It has participated in the formulation and revision of 15 national standards and obtained 315 patents. In addition to the only admixture science and technology business incubator in China, its key technology and application of high aluminum content, high early-strength and alkali-free accelerator have reached the international leading level.

Wanrong Admixture products include more than 100 categories covering polycarboxylic acid, naphthalene, and accelerator series, and are widely used in hydropower, port, railway, highway, nuclear power, airport, and tunnel construction projects such as the Three Gorges Dam, Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. At the same time, it proactively integrated into the Belt and Road initiative and expands the international market, with products exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Angola, and Pakistan.
