Shanxi school holds themed event to celebrate Intl Children's Day

On May 29, Zijun Primary School in Wanbailin district of Taiyuan city, Shanxi province, held a themed event to celebrate the International Children's Day.

Themed "Raise the team flag and follow the party, be a good youth in the new era", the event gathered officials from the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Provincial youth work committee, the Taiyuan committee of the Communist Youth League, and the Wanbailin district committee of the Communist Youth League, along with over 1200 representatives of Young Pioneers and Young Pioneers counselors.

After singing the Song of the Chinese Young Pioneers in unison, the brigade committee announced the establishment of the first-grade team and the list of new members. Senior Young Pioneers wore red scarves for 80 new members of the Chinese Young Pioneers. All Young Pioneers raised their right fists under the team flag and made a solemn vow: "Ready to contribute to the cause of communism".

Officials awarded flags to the newly established squadron, issued appointment letters to counselors, and passed down the three flags of the Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers.

Han Ye, the head of the school's Party organization, youth league organization, and Young Pioneers, sent a message to all Young Pioneers: "I hope you can establish lofty ideals, cultivate good character, study diligently, exercise to build strong physical fitness, cultivate a spirit of labor, and grow into outstanding talents capable of undertaking the great tasks of building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation."

Following the induction ceremony, attendees observed a variety of distinct Young Pioneer activities. In the "Red Scarf Loves Science" exhibition area, team members gathered around programming equipment, focusing on debugging the equipment.

"Today, I have proudly become a Young Pioneer, and I believe that the red scarf is not only an honor, but also a responsibility," said Chen Hongyu, a student from Zijun Elementary School. "I will be a pioneer from elementary school to adulthood, and a good young man in the new era, adding glory and color to the red scarf through my practical actions."
