Here was the pivot for the famous general Lian Po to command Zhao army, call the muster roll of officers and assign them tasks to give commands, halt and hoard up grains during the Battle of Chang Ping. The Zhao army was stationed here for two years, leaving the historical stories of replacing grains with sand and storing up rice hills. In order to be in memory of Lian Po as an old-timer, locals built up the Lian Po Temple on the Da Liang Mountain peak in the Western Han Dynasty, and it was not rebuilt until 2004 due to destroy by flames of war later. When you get up the Da Liang Mountain, you will take in everything of the Chang Ping ancient battlefield in a glance, and have a panoramic view of Lian Po Village, Ying Fang Ridge, Lian Po Temple and other scenic spots. Many writers, scholars, good and wise officials left behind quite a good deal of verses, ditties, odes and songs to the Gao Ping land to pay respect in that violent battle within two thousand years from Han and Wei Dynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties. These stone carvings for ancient stone tablets, distributed in the Da Liang Mountain, are the only tour landscape combining ancient military and historical cultures left behind by the history to Gaoping City, moving and tragic, but vast.
